The beach

Platja de l'Oratori is a peculiar beach of sand and rock located in Portals Nous, in Calvià. It is a popular tourist area with good nightlife and restaurants.

Notes

This beach is very peculiar because there is a hermitage on the cliff. Also called "Platja Portals Nous." In front is a beautiful island

How to get there

    From Palma

    Leave Palma via the Palma-Andratx dual carriageway and take exit number 10, towards Portals Nous.

    Roundabout

    From this motorway exit we will continue to the left, towards Portals Nous reaching a roundabout. We will continue to the left.

    Marina Street or L'Oratori Street

    On the next street (Palma-Andratx road) we have to seek on the right Marina street, which we have to follow until we park. This street is right before getting to Alcàsser Square, opposite L'Oratori street.

    Stairs

    To get to the beach you have to go down some stairs.

    Anther way to arrive

    Another option is to follow the signs to Puerto Portals because it is just to the left, although it is difficult to find parking.

About Calvià

Calvià is a Majorcan municipality bordered by Puigpunyent, Estellencs and Palma. At present it is the second most populated area of the entire Balearic archipelago after Palma, and also one of the areas with a large tourist influx. There are approximately 300 days of sunshine and its average temperature is of 27 degrees Celsius in summer and 14 in winter. Its coastline extends from Cabo Andritxol to the area of Ca's Català, Ses Illetes. It is 54 km long with numerous beaches and coves apart from 10 islets. It is provided with a hotel option of more than 230 establishments including luxury hotels, rural houses, marinas, golf courses, athletics tracks, a water park, areas to practise hiking and tennis academies.
