The beach

Platja d'es Dolç is a beach of sand and rock in Colònia de San Jordi. It is a bit further away from the urban area so you must walk for about 200 metres, but we will get to a less crowded beach.

Notes

Platja d'es Dolç is a dune field.

How to get there

    Campos-Colònia de San Jordi road

    From Campos take the MA 6040 road towards Colònia de San Jordi.

    M. del Palmer Avenue up to Figueres street

    Once at the tourist centre, follow the main street, Marqués de Palmer Avenue, up to Figueres street onto the left.

    Park

    Park the vehicles at Figueres stret and head for the coast through an enabled passage between the houses.

    The esplanade to the beach is 200 metres away on the left.

About Ses Salines

Ses Salines is a Majorcan municipality bordering on Campos and Santanyí. Both the coastal nucleus of Colonia de Sant Jordi and the numerous salt mines that give name to the municipality are noteworthy. The salt mines are one of the most extensive protected areas in Majorca thanks to the ecological rules of the place, they are the oldest in the Balearic Islands, the second oldest worlwide and they still provide salt.
