The beach
Platja de Macarella is a beautiful sandy cove with a wide area of rocks located south of Ciutadella. It has a series of buoys delimiting the bathing area. There is a kayak rental service to get to know the coast a little more. It is advisable to arrive early in this area because both car parks fill up very quickly.

* 2018 traffic is forbidden to these coves, there is a bus that leaves "Via Perimetral" in Ciudadela from May 14 to October 15. Price 4.5 / trip. Reservation website: www.bus2macarella.com In the rest of the year, there are two parkings: the closest is private, 5 a day. The public one is a bit further, there is a path connecting this parking to the beach, there is about a 25 minutes' walk. Very recommended beach though it is very crowded in high season. How to get there
- 1From the Port of Ciutadella
From the port, continue straight until the fifth roundabout. The directions to Cala Macarella begin here. There are signs indicating if parking spaces are available, although it is recommended to go very early as it fills up quickly.

We just have to follow the signs at the intersections. It is perfectly signposted and we can even see, depending on the time of the season, parking information sites.

There is an information sign in the parking lot that says 15 minutes to the beach. Signposted trail.
